Welcome to our sixth grade web page! Sixth grade is a year of adjustment for our students who will have many different teachers and a constantly moving and changing day. Students will study Math and Science, Religion, Spanish, Music, P.E., Art, Social Studies, and Language Arts.
Our curriculum includes studying Ancient Civilizations, Earth Sciences, Pre-Algebra, Literature such as The Boy of the Painted Cave, Al Capone Does My Shirts, and The Golden Goblet, Sentence structure and writing, and learning how to read the Bible.

SUPPLY LIST FOR SIXTH GRADE
2010-2011
Here is what you will need to start the year. Please replace these items as needed.
LABEL WITH NAME:
- 12 inch ruler - metric and standard units
-1-2 large soft pink (or other color) eraser
-1 pair of pointed scissors
- 1 pencil sharpener with container to hold shavings
-1 pkg. broad markers - one set of 8-10 colors
-1 pkg. thin markers (no more than 16 count)
-1 box of 24 crayons
-a calculator with basic functions
-1 pocket Dictionary
-4 single-subject spiral notebooks for the following subjects (please label):
1)Math, 2)Music, 3)Science, 4)Library
-1 accordian file with at least 9 sections
-( a flash drive for student computer work would be great if they have one, to transfer work
from school to home computers)
NO NAME NEEDED: (These will be shared so nothing fancy)
-1 large glue stick
-1 roll of scotch tape (with a dispenser)
-2 packages of college ruled binder paper (200 sheets each)
-1 24 count boxes of #2 pencils (please sharpen!)
-24 red ballpoint pens
- 24 black or blue ballpoint pens
-2 black Sharpies ( 1 fine point, 1 extra fine point)
-1 package of index cards (3x5)
-1 large package/box of hand wipes/baby wipes
-2 boxes of tissues
NO ELECTRIC PENCIL SHARPENERS OR WHITE-OUT, PLEASE.
