St. Theresa School has a Tuition Assistance Program to assist those families who require financial help in order for their children to attend St. Theresa School. There are two types of Tuition Assistance available to St. Theresa families:

  • Annual tuition grants may be made to those who demonstrate that they need financial help in paying tuition for their child(ren) to attend St. Theresa School.
  • Emergency tuition assistance may be awarded to those who demonstrate financial need based on changed circumstances, such as loss of a job, loss of a spouse or major medical emergency.

The amount of Tuition Assistance awarded will vary from family to family, and will depend upon the family's financial status, the family's particular circumstances and the amount of money the school has available for Tuition Assistance in a given year.

Application Process

Families seeking tuition grants or emergency tuition assistance must complete and submit a "Tuition Assistance Parent's Confidential Statement." Copies of this form are available upon request to the Principal or may be downloaded from the St. Theresa School website. Applications for annual tuition grants must be accompanied by a copy of the family's most recent federal income tax return, in order to verify the family's financial status.

Applications for annual tuition grants must be submitted to the St. Theresa School Office, to the attention of the Principal, by no later than May 15 prior to the beginning of the school year for which Tuition Assistance is requested. Applications for emergency tuition assistance may be submitted at any time.

All applications for Tuition Assistance will be held in strictest confidence and reviewed by a Committee headed by the Principal of St. Theresa School. No other personnel or faculty of St. Theresa School will review Tuition Assistance applications or otherwise be informed of the applicants for or recipients of Tuition Assistance.

Families will be notified of the determination made by the Committee on their request for a tuition grant, including the amount of any award for the upcoming school year, by no later than August 10. Families will be notified of the determination on a request for emergency tuition assistance as soon as is feasible.

General Guidelines

The primary responsibility for financing a student's Catholic education rests with the student's family. The St. Theresa Tuition Assistance Program exists to assist families who require financial help for their children to attend St. Theresa School.

In order to equitably distribute the available Tuition Assistance Funds, it is important that the Committee have adequate information; therefore, the school requires documentation of family financial resources in order to make determinations on applications for Tuition Assistance.

In addition to a family's financial resources, the Committee will consider any other relevant family circumstances in making determinations on applications for Tuition Assistance.

St. Theresa School will not discriminate in the administration of its Tuition Assistance Program on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or age in violation of existing state or federal laws or regulations.

All information regarding applications for Tuition Assistance will be held in strictest confidence by the Committee. Parents are also expected to keep confidential the amount of any Tuition Assistance award that is given.
